Look: USC’s Spring Game Crowd Is Going Viral - The Spun

Some things never change. USC may have gotten a facelift this offseason by brining in Lincoln Riley, Caleb Williams and a whole new staff. But that didn’t change the Trojans’ lackluster crowd attendance as of late.

USC’s spring game crowd was pretty abysmal on Saturday. You’d think it’d be better based on the kind of offseason the program had.

The Trojans hired Riley. He then went and brought Williams, the sophomore star quarterback, with him. They then landed a number of talented transfers like former Oregon running back Travis Dye.

Thousands of fans came out to watch a new era of USC football on Saturday, right? Not exactly.

To be fair, it’s just a spring game. However, you don’t see these types of crowds at other premier programs. Autzen Stadium for example was packed with fans for Oregon’s spring game on Saturday.

Hopefully the Trojans’ attendance improves this upcoming season. They’re going to need all the help they can get in Riley and Williams’ first year in Southern California.
