Gunfire erupts after police disperse crowd in Philadelphia - PennLive

Gunfire rang out as hundreds of people walked through an area of Philadelphia, where police had just broken up a party.

One person was injured in that shooting, which occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday at North 16th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia, Action News 6 ABC is reporting.

This shooting occurred just off of Temple University’s campus, 3 CBS Philly is reporting.

According to reports, dozens of officers were called to break up an unruly crowd. As police tried to maintain control of the scene, a man in his late teens or early 20s was shot at least twice and is now in critical condition, reports indicate.

As police investigated the shooting, more shots were fired, but no further injuries were reported.

Two handguns were found nearby, but it’s unclear if they were connected to the shooting, according to reports.

The violence continued into early Monday when a man was shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. in Kensington, reports indicate. SEPTA police heard several gunshots and found the injured man, who died later at the hospital.

And a 15-year-old is in serious condition after being shot inside a home in the city’s Germantown neighborhood around 3 a.m., according to reports.
