Update: 1 dead, 1 injured in shooting in Syracuse’s Skunk City
Syracuse, N.Y. — A large crowd gathered as Syracuse police responded to a reported shooting with injuries Monday night in Skunk City, according to 911.
The Onondaga County 911 Center started receiving calls at 9:44 p.m. reporting up to two dozen shots fired, as well as someone shot outside 206 Bradley St., dispatchers said.
Callers told 911 dispatchers the shooting victim was unconscious and struggling to breathe, according to police dispatches.
A vehicle suspected to have been involved in the shooting was last seen heading down Bradley Street, toward Rowland Street, according to the police dispatches.
Syracuse police and firefighters, and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene. Police remain on the scene and have not yet commented on the shooting.
