  • The campaign instituted two years ago to obtain aerial patrol fire protection for northern Minnesota is bearing fruit. Maj. W.H. McChord will come to Duluth early this week to gather data for a report to the chief of the Air Service in Washington, D.C.
  • A large crowd is expected tomorrow night at the dedication of a bronze memorial tablet by the Duluth French Naturalization Club in memory of members who served in the World War. The ceremony will be held in St. Jean de Baptiste Church.
  • With the arrival of the special train at the Union Depot last night, the three-day trade extension tour of the Duluth Commercial Club came to a successful close. Returning delegates were greeted by their families and members of the firms they represented.
  • The American Legion Band will give its final open-air concert of the season this afternoon at Lester Park with a program of popular and patriotic numbers. The band has given a series of Sunday concerts this summer under the auspices of the Kiwanis Club.
