Remedy's Control generated €34.4m ($40.3m) in revenue for Italian publishing giant Digital Bros.

That's according to the company's financials for the year ending June 30th, in which its premium games segment saw a whopping 102.4 per cent increase in revenue, in part thanks to Control. Digital Bros also called out Castlevania spiritual successor Bloodstained as well as Journey to the Savage Planet, which made €11.8 million and €12.1 million respectively.

Overall, Digital Bros saw a 71 per cent rise in gross revenue.

Control was available exclusively on the Epic Games Store on PC when it was released, with the Fortnite maker paying Digital Bros $10.5m for the privilege. The title came to Steam at the end of August and was the second highest-selling release of the week.

Developer Remedy said it saw a 57 per cent rise in revenue in 2019 thanks to Control.

Digital Bros anticipates a strong start to the 2020/21 financial year thanks to the PC edition of Kojima Productions' Death Stranding, which it published via 505 Games and launched in July.
