Minister Marion Hall

KINGSTON, Jamaica - In January 2020, five years after she was baptised and became a born-again Christian, Minister Marion Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, revealed that God wanted her to build a Church. Today, the ordained evangelist has sought the help of crowd-funding to bring that vision to fruition.

In a post to her official Instagram page last week, Minister Hall who founded the Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ, revealed she sourced a property to establish a brick and mortar Church but said the undertaking would cost a whopping US $1 million. She has since set up a GoFundMe account to acquire the funds needed to put up the building.

"We have found a property to build the home of Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Can you please help us by donating to the purchasing and building of the Lord house. Thank you. May the lord bless you in all things," she captioned a photo of the GoFundMe page.

She later revealed that completing the building would cost a total of $US 2.7 but said US 1 million would secure the property as well as cover mortgage costs.

"Can someone please bless us with one million American dollars to purchase a property for the church building, that we need for Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. God gave me the name, years ago, now he shows me the property, with a building on it. The full cost is 2.7 million, but 1 million will allow us to buy it and have a mortgage," she posted.

"I’m believing God for a miracle, just like my new song, that he blesses me with, which is coming out soon. The money may sound big, but God is bigger than 2.7 million. Believe God with me, Saints of God," she ended the caption.

The account's description urged people to give no matter how small the donation. It also shared that the building will double as a 'cooking ministry' where the former dancehall queen hopes to feed the less fortunate.

"Any amount you can give towards this project will be greatly appreciated. This building will also the home of Marion Hall cooking ministry where we will feed the less fortunate once a week," the description read.

Since the page went live on Thursday, the account has raised US$220 of its $2 million goal donated by six people.

Hall became an ordained evangelist in 2018 at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Kingston where she had been baptised.

The gospel artiste founded the Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in 2020 and has been delivering the Gospel via live stream since then.
