Spooky, a 1-year-old female domestic short hair cat, recently was featured as a Pet of the Week from Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control. The shelter, at 7241 Washington View Pkwy. Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control Spooktacular October Adoption Special

CEDAR RAPIDS — Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control has dogs and cats waiting to help you celebrate the spookiest month of all! During October, you can find the pet of your dreams and pay just a fraction of the normal adoption fee. Cat and dog adoptions are just $50. Adoption fees include:

• Spay or neuter

• Initial vaccinations

• Dewormer

• Flea/tick treatment

• Microchip

The Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control facility is open Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Guest are required to wear masks while inside the building and social distance from others.

Those seeking to adopt an animal are also encouraged to compete an adoption application prior to arrival to help facilitate the process Adoption applications are available at www.cedar-rapids.org/animal.
