PC players who missed out on Remedy's latest exploration of the supernatural are in luck; on January 21, Control will become available on Xbox Game Pass for PC. The Remedy title is no stranger to Game Pass, as Microsoft added Control to the console version just last month. Its addition was accompanied by the likes of GreedFall and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
Undoubtedly, the value of Xbox Game Pass continues to grow. For just $10 per month, members can gain access to a massive library of games filled with newer and older releases. One major benefit is the ability to play first-party Xbox titles for no extra cost, but Game Pass is additionally worthwhile for its collection of lesser-known titles that may have previously flown under the radar, as well as the whole of EA Play. And with a whole host of Final Fantasy games joining its growing line-up, Game Pass' value won't soon subside.
On January, Control will join the Xbox Game Pass line-up for PC. One of Xbox's official Twitter pages shared the news in a post earlier today, complete with a video acknowledging all of the objects protagonist Jesse Faden can take control of in-game.
Control is a big get for the service on both consoles and PC. Players step into the shoes of Jesse, a young woman who enters a secret Federal building, the Oldest House, in search of answers about her brother's whereabouts. What she finds upon her arrival is confirmation of the supernatural, which opens the door to countless other mysteries. Soon, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players will have reason to dive back into the experience, courtesy of Control Ultimate Edition's next-gen upgrade that goes live on February 2. A boxed version of Control Ultimate Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is slated to hit stores one month later on March 2.
Microsoft has quite the year planned for Xbox Game Pass, too. Of course, games will continuously be added to the service, but it's also set to expand in other ways. For one, Electronic Arts' EA Play subscription will become a part of the Xbox Game Pass family on PC on an unspecified date this year. It presently remains to be seen when new details on this matter will surface, though. Plus, cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is making its way to iOS and PC sometime this year, as well.
Control is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 2, 2020.
