Kindelberger tallied a solo block and two rallies later went up for a kill to knot the score at 20 apiece. Pressly dropped in a service ace to put DePaul up one and force a Butler timeout. The Blue Demons claimed the last four points of the first set including a Krasowski service ace to clinch the first set and 1-0 lead on the match.

DePaul saw five kills from the right side in that span with Price tallying three and Nelson dropping in a pair. The Bulldogs closed the gap to a point at 10-9 and tied the score at 12 apiece after a pair of Blue Demon attack errors. A pair of Nelson kills followed by a Karl termination on an overpass put DePaul back on top 15-12. Three consecutive Bulldog errors handed DePaul an 18-13 lead before Butler claimed four of the next five points to come within two at 19-17. Brown's sixth kill of the match claimed gave DePaul a 25-22 set two victory and put the Blue Demons on top 2-0.

Set Three: The third set was a back-and-forth affair until the Bulldogs scored five of six points to take a 12-9 lead and force a DePaul timeout. A pair of Allison Dennemann kills closed the deficit to two at 14-12. Krasowski found the hardwood with a pass over the net to bring DePaul within one at 21-20 and force a Butler timeout. The Bulldogs went on to win four of the next five points and took the third set 25-22.

Timely kills from six different Blue Demons combined with Bulldog attacking errors allowed DePaul to go on a 10-2 run and take a 23-14 advantage. Butler did not go away easily, tallying six of the next seven points and staving off four match points. Price's 14th kill of the afternoon gave DePaul the set 25-20 and the match 3-1.

From Head Coach Marie ZidekFour players in double digit kills. Leaning into Emma's offense on the slide to open everyone else up. Hustle plays and grittiness all over the place led by Rachel. Pride in ball control and doing the hard work to create offensive opportunities. And finally our offensive high end is showing up consistently in matches. This group has worked so hard to create momentum that even when the opponent starts to lean into their one strength, this group can still work to keep momentum. Today was a special match in so many ways, and this team continues to show what elite competitors they can be.

Up Next: DePaul will close out its final road trip of the season with a match at Xavier on Sunday at 1 p.m. All of the action from the Cintas Center can be seen on FloSports. The Blue Demons will close out the regular season slate at McGrath-Phillips Arena with Villanova and Georgetown, Nov. 19-20.
