Donald Trump is not going to be in public office for a while. But that doesn’t mean that the party has stopped talking about him. There is a desperately important election being held in Georgia in January that will determine control of the senate. While Republicans want to talk about David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, many GOP voters seemingly just want to talk about Trump.
This was the problem RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel ran into while campaigning for the senate candidates on Saturday. McDaniel had trouble pulling the crowds attention back to the senate races. The voters on the ground seemingly just wanted to talk about Trump.
The RNC Chair first had to explain that there was no proof for much of the voter fraud Trump is alleging. When asked about it, she responded, “We didn’t see that in the audit, so we’ve got to just, that evidence, I haven’t seen. So we’ll also wait and see on that.”
Here is video from one of the exchanges. A supporter asks why the RNC is not looking into the allegations with the voting machines. McDaniel stated flatly there is no evidence of that.

A voter then asked why they should plan on voting in the Georgia election if it is already going to be rigged for Democrats.
Desperately trying to pull the topic back to Loeffler and Perdue, McDaniel told the crowd, “I talked to [the president] yesterday, and I talked to him on Thanksgiving, I talk to him pretty much every day, if he were here right now, he would say please, get out, and keep working for me, but get out and elect David Perdue & Kelly Loeffler.”
