PHOENIX — A crowd of people -- some reportedly members of a far-right group and others wearing red M.A.G.A. hats and holding pro-Donald Trump political signs or American flags -- gathered outside the Maricopa County Recorder's Office Wednesday evening where votes in the 2020 elections are currently being counted.
ABC15's Nicole Valdes reported that the group gathered around 7:30 p.m. and attempted to get inside the Recorders Office. A couple of people were able to get inside at one point and asked questions about the vote count before being asked to leave.
Aerial video showed law enforcement officers standing in front of the doors to the Maricopa County Recorders Office, and the crowd of people gathered in the parking lot.
Rep. Paul Gosar, who represents Arizona's 4th District, was spotted at the protest.

Arizona has become a key state to both Biden's and Trump's presidential campaign hopes.
On Tuesday evening, Fox News Channel projected that Biden would win Arizona, which would be a surprising flip for the historically Republican-led state. The Associated Press projected a similar result around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
ABC News has not made a projection in the race.
According to the latest election counts released Wednesday evening, Biden narrowly leads Trump, 51%-48%, with less than 80,000 votes between them.
Maricopa County is expected to release another batch of results, mostly from early ballots that were dropped off at the polls, late Wednesday. That is expected to happen at 11 p.m., officials have told ABC15.
