WESTLAKE, Ohio – Fabletics joined the family of stores in Crocker Park in Westlake on July 23. The grand opening consisted of the traditional cutting of a red ribbon but added a guarantee for the first 100 customers who made a purchase. They received a free pair of women’s leggings or men’s shorts. All customers, though, were able to shop on the first day with 50 per cent off.
The new store of 1,866 square feet, the fourth in Ohio, is located at 112 Main Street in Crocker Park, between Anthropologie and Soft Surroundings.
Music played continuously but perhaps just a bit too loud for having a conversation in the store. Small detail though.
Fabletics is known for both men’s and women’s activewear but now includes loungewear, tennis wear, swim wear and the YITTY brand, a new shapewear from activist Lizza.
Wandering through the store one cannot help but be constantly reaching out to feel the fabrics. They look great but they are even better after touching the fabrics. It doesn’t seem anyone could buy activewear elsewhere after feeling the luxurious feel of the high-quality fabrics.
Guests are greeted as they enter the store and their eyes are quickly drawn to the “legging wall” with “an enhanced legging finder digital tool to assist guests in selecting one of Fabletics’s signature styles.”
There is also a dedicated bra wall as well as a dedicated men’s section. The men’s activewear shorts are noticeably shorter now. The inseams are either 5 inches or 7 inches.
Mannequins in all sizes are to be found in Fabletics. No one is left out.
“Crocker Park is the perfect destination to dine, shop and play all while being active,” said Stacie Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing at Stark Enterprises. “Fabletics is the perfect complement to our family of retailers so shoppers can find the perfect outfit to wear while they are out and about and walking the Crocker Park Fitness Loop.”
Though some may feel the clothing is in the upper range there is a membership that can significantly decrease prices. Just ask any of the salespeople how it works.
Bras go for $59.95, women’s pants for $69.95 and shorts for $59.95. For men, shorts are $64.95 and shirts for $49.95.
A nice, and useful, feature in the store is the OmniShop that allows a customer to be able to stay in the fitting room while requesting a different size or color as they try on the clothing.
In addition, technology appears to be king as there are touch screens throughout the store to help decide which styles best suits a customer’s needs.
Customers can also receive their orders on the same day with “Buy Online, Pick Up in Store.”
There is even a fitness boutique that includes an at-home rowing machine a salesperson can demonstrate.
Fabletics does not appear to be any kind of ordinary activewear. Just walk in and feel the fabrics to prove it to yourself.
